Single origin Arriba Nacional ceremonial grade cacao from Cayapas River. It is grown by the Chachi people also known as the Cayapas - an indigenous group who live in the rainforest area of northwestern Esmeraldas on the northern coast of Ecuador. Arriba Nacional is one of the most beloved types of Cacao, favored by chocolate makers and Cacao enthusiasts alike and is a pride of Ecuador. This cacao is smooth and has exquisite notes of red wine, wood and florals. The minimal roasting process maintains those fresh and fine floral aromas while bringing out notes of citrus.
