Ceremonial Grade Cacao (single origin)
This NEW cacao variety comes from cacao beans that have been sustainably grown and harvested by a Mayan women collective in Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. The cacao beans are gently toasted over a fire, hand peeled, and milled with reverence for the plant preserving its potent medicinal properties. Each batch is made with intention and love.
This Guatemalan cacao variety exhibits notes of fruit and floral accents and renders a very delicate floral flavor.
It promotes sleep, increases blood flow to the brain, helps lower blood pressure, is rich in antioxidants, reduces stress and improves mood (helps the brain release the "happiness transmitters” i.e. endorphins dopamine and serotonin.) Cacao paste is different from the cacao powder as it comes from raw cacao beans and has not been defatted, thus preserving all the cacao benefits. It contains calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium.
